I want to thank you so much
for your generous support of the Presbytery’s One Campaign for
PWS&D Afghanistan. Your contributions to the cause were
overwhelming and I can say for certain that you have made your
mark among the Presbyterian churches in our Presbytery. Not
only did we 'beat' our challengers financially but we also showed
up in significant numbers to the event. Thanks again, I'm so
proud and honoured to be able to say that St. Andrew's is 'a place to call home.' And you know… I think I am having more fun since
the colour change.
Rev. John Borthwick

Shaved for Guelph Food Bank charity!
On Sunday, December 13, 2009 members of the congregation watched as our Director of Youth Ministry, Matt Foxall, had his head shaved by local Guelph barber and hair stylist, Franco. Under Matt's and Cindy Bray's enthusiastic leadership, the youth collected over 4,000 items for the Guelph Food Bank. It was a real learning experience for them, especially when they delivered the food to the Food Bank and saw the many people who benefitted from their efforts. As promised Matt shaved his head and Cindy dyed her hair red.

| On Sunday February 3rd, the congregation of St. Andrew's, Guelph, Ontario marked PWS&D Sunday by celebrating their mission project 'A Job WELL Done' in support of creating accessible water for Darfur and other regions of the continent of Africa. A Job WELL Done raised over $15,000 and deepened awareness of the work of PWS&D. In support of this project, the congregation also sponsored a Poetry contest in partnership with The RECORD.
Pictured in the photo (from left to right) are Pieter Wyminga (innovator of the idea), Elaine Forgo of Knox, Burlington (poetry contest winner), Rev. John Borthwick (minister of St. Andrew's), Alexander MacDonald (guest speaker and PWS&D Communication Assistant) and Karen Dimock (student minister).
